Welcome to MAISON FLOUQUET, our home in Gascony.
We think it is a very special place, and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Maison Flouquet sits on a ridge, with lovely views over the beautiful hills and valleys of the Gers, and on a clear day you also get a wonderful panorama of the Pyrenees. It is on the edge of the village, on a very small lane, so peaceful and quiet, with fields and woods surrounding it on 3 sides.

However, the historic town of Pau is only 45 minutes away, and Toulouse only 90 minutes, so access by plane/train is easy and quick. The Pyrenees are an hour away, and Biarritz and the Atlantic coast under 2 hours.

The main house is an attractive farmhouse, built in 1790 by a prosperous local family who owned it for nearly 200 years. A large stone barn has been converted into a guest cottage, which can be rented in addition to the house in the summer.

There is a garden of over 1 acre, mainly laid to lawn with shrubs and fruit trees. The large pool (12m x 6m), which faces west and is in the sun all day, has a paved terrace for sun-bathing, with a wooden pergola at one end for shade.

Along the whole west-facing wall of the house is a spacious covered terrace for eating outside, again with lovely views, with a table which seats 10 comfortably. There is a gas BBQ and also a table-tennis table, which is usually very popular with teenagers!
